Robert Pachence

Vice Chairman and Senior Portfolio Manager

Robert Pachence, Vice Chairman, was previously Managing Director and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at PNC FIG Advisory, part of PNC Capital Markets, LLC.  He was responsible for providing M&A, capital markets, and balance sheet advisory services to banks, insurance companies and other middle market institutions.  Clients relied on him for economic forecasts, market insight, financial modeling, and overall strategic advice.

Previously, Robert was Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Ambassador Financial Group, a FINRA-registered investment banking firm which was acquired by PNC in April 2019.  At Ambassador, Robert oversaw the management and strategic direction of the firm.  In addition to his management role, Robert maintained a select client base for which he provided fixed income and balance sheet strategies, as well as investment banking and investor relations advice.

Prior to co-founding Ambassador in 2006, Robert spent 10 years as a senior bank analyst with a registered broker/dealer in the community bank sector. He specialized in analyzing community banks’ financial statements for past performance, current position, and potential. He was responsible for advising senior management and boards of directors on specific strategies and tactics to enhance shareholder value.

Robert earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Scranton.

Matthew Walker

CFA, Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Officer, and Senior Portfolio Manager

Matthew D. Walker, CFA, serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Officer, and Portfolio Manager at The Philadelphia Trust Company, where he has been since June 1999. He chairs the Investment Policy Committee and oversees trading, information technology, and analytical research.

Mr. Walker holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Science from Villanova University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and an active member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia.

In addition to his industry role, Mr. Walker is an adjunct professor of Finance at Saint Joseph’s University and of Business at Immaculata University, where he shares his expertise with the next generation of professionals.

Andrew Narog

Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager

Andrew W. Narog is a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at The Philadelphia Trust Company. Since 2011, he has been responsible for managing client portfolios, contributing proprietary research as a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee. He serves on the Trust Administration Committee and Banking Committee.

Prior to joining The Philadelphia Trust Company, Andrew was a Fixed Income Analyst at Loomis, Sayles & Company in Boston, Massachusetts, where he provided analytical support to portfolio managers. He graduated from Hobart College in Geneva, New York, where he served as Division I captain of the men’s lacrosse team.

Andrew works with individuals, families, and institutions on portfolio management, wealth planning, and trust services, offering thoughtful guidance, disciplined decision-making, and a long-term perspective.

Andrew Somers

Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager

Andrew J. Somers serves as a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at The Philadelphia Trust Company, where he specializes in crafting tailored investment strategies for individuals, families, trusts, and institutions. He brings a deep understanding of investment management, financial planning, and fiduciary responsibility to his clients.

As a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee, Andrew plays a key role in shaping the firm’s overarching investment strategy. He contributes to the high-level strategic decisions, economic analysis, and rigorous vetting processes that define the firm’s market positioning.

Prior to joining The Philadelphia Trust Company in 2024, Andrew worked at two prominent Philadelphia-area investment firms in analyst and financial consulting roles.

Andrew is a graduate of Bucknell University with a B.S. in Business Administration.
